
As of the year 2008 she is 64 years old and still engaged in combat.
She is a ship of many names, all of which she can be proud. During WWII, as a rescue ship, she was known as the USS PCE(R)852. After WWII she became the USS E-PCE(R)852. She then became the USS Brattleboro. She then was transferred to the South Vietnamese Navy and became the Ngoc Hoi (HQ-12). Today as part of the Philippine Navy she is the BRP Miguel Malvar (PS19).
