In addition, Hacala calls attention to another ship of interest: "The USS Slater DE 766 is the last of the WWII Destroyer Escorts. She is now berthed at Albany, NY, and open to the public from April to November. An extensive website details all aspects of the ship. Her weapons systems were identical to those on the 852.
